BringMeASunkist
I'm playing a video game and am trying to overwrite files and folders to set up some in-game models. Here is situation.Step 1: These are the files I want to put in a folder and overwrite.http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/4040/24841387th5.jpgStep 2: Here is is destination folder.http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/4889/20475419jm4.jpgStep 3: Now, the "models" folder already has a folder in it called "player". So in theory, if I drop the "player" folder into the "models", it should prompt me to overwrite all existing files and folders with that name, correct? http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/6481/28151019eg4.jpgWell this is where I run into my problems. After I select "yes", I run into a new problem:http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/3429/31wi2.jpgThe original folder, "player" has a folder in it entitled "ct_gign". The promp is telling me that the destination "player" folder already has a "ct_gign" fodler. Only it's not letting me overwrite it.Step 4: Naturally, at this halt my instinctive reaction was to manually import the files into their folders. But here's the new problem:http://img387.imageshack.us/img387/6062/91866531ds1.jpgWhen I look at the picture, the new folder has all the folders, with their files I want in it. The destination folder all the folders. But the promp in step 3 is telling me the destination folder already has those folders inside of it. I am allowed to create new folders, but not rename them to any of the names in the new folder. I am now allowed to drop and drop the new folder's folders into the destination's folders.I would love to access the destination's folders so I can drag, drop and override the files, but I cannot access them. And yes, I do have my options enabled to view hidden folders. But it just doesn't seem like they are there.http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/3079/43416953ko3.jpgI know that is probably a pain to follow, but please try. Because this doesn't seem to make any sense to me and it is very frustrating. Thanks for the help.
