I'm not sure if this is the problem, but since then I'm experiencing problems (no video output, but sound is available) with playing mp4 video files. I use vlc and after setting the video-output under Preferences->Preferences->Video->Outputmodule from Standard to OpenGL everything works fine again.Unfortunately, I also use other programs like miro, where I do not know how to change the standard.
