mdrumond Posted August 23, 2008 Report Share Posted August 23, 2008 I used MSCONFIG on my work laptop to force a safe mode start up. Now when I get to the log in screen, my computer can't log me in because the domain is wrong for some reason.I've tried tapping F8 on start up, and chose to boot normally, but it still boots to Safe mode. I can't get passed the log on screen because it says my password is not recognized because the domain is different for some reason. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted August 24, 2008 Report Share Posted August 24, 2008 Can you specify the correct domain to login (DOMAIN\userid)?If not (why not?), can you try to login with the Administrator account?If you use msconfig to force a restart into Safe Mode, you *must* go into Safe Mode to have that registry entry removed.
