mstowe
When I click on an mp3 file on a webpage Internet Explorer retrieves the file but then when it finishes and the bottom bar displays "Done" a blank page just sits there and no file is plays. This is very annoying and there is no help on this anywhere. This happens only on my one laptop, (w/service pack 3). On my other computers Internet Explorer plays mp3s files just fine (with the little circular player that comes up on the screen).I need to fix this as I am working with mp3s on webpages all the time and this not playing just drives me crazy. Thanks a lot! Scarecrow Man
Try installing a Codec Pack. I recommend K-Lite Codec Pack @ http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm
Snec
IE does not play MP3s, nor is it supposed to. You may be using IE when you play MP3s but what actually plays them is a player. You obviously do have a player installed on the machine that plays them but not on the one that doesn't.
