nickster Posted September 4, 2008 Report Share Posted September 4, 2008 I have XP SP3 on an eMachines; I use PC speakers from Diamond Audio Technologies Speakers are hooked up via the USB port (a round green connector is avilable too) correctly. I am not getting sound from Windows.I have checked everything in Sounds and Audio devices in Control Panel. The settings fine and the same I have used for a long time. The speakers were getting sound fine until a few days ago. I hear line noise when the speakers are on. I have unplugged the round green connector, rebooted - still no soundA co-worker suggested going to the speaker manufacturer website to uninstall the current driver and install an up to date one. The website to do this, www.dxaudio.com, is down right. Where might I go as far as a good driver download site to uninstall the driver I have and install an up to date driver? Thank you.
