How do i find out what my graphics card is on Vista.

please a step by step simple guide as i am new to this.

Go to :-

and download and run Belarc Adviser ...it is freeware.

It will tell you quite a lot about your set up...some of which may be of no interest .

device manager works fine too....If you don't know what you have, then you likely have a low end integrated unit on your motherboard.

when i go on device manager what then do i do... which section and what should it look like

in XP, it's "display adapters". Should be something similar. It will likely be nvidia, ati, or intel chipset

If you have a name brand machine, you can also just google the model number and often get full system specifications.
