Windows Explorer problem

It happens about a third of the time i have a windows Explorer window open. I'll get: (see attachments)

I've seen info on microsoft's site that indicates to me that a dll file could be the cause. I'll try to attach the messages inline also

I had this problem, never did work out what it was, just switched to firefox!!

nickster, the first warning indicates a possible malware infection. Have you scanned with your antivirus & an on-line scanner to make sure? There's free on-line scan available from highly-regarded ESET HERE. If it's a Windows System dll, you can check them using the scannow utility, but if it's an IE7 problem you may have to uninstall it then download a new version & re-install that. You do need IE, even if only for downloading Windows updates.
