jc619
A while back I needed help fixing my computer and ended up needing to re-install my Windows Vista. I successfully re-installed it and my other programs, but today when I turned it on it asked for me to activate it so I pressed the activate now button and a message said the product key was invalid so I pressed type in product key and typed in the product key I used to re-install Vista and it gives me an error code 0xC004F063 that means the computer BIOS is missing a required license. Since I found help here last time I'm here again to ask for help.
-pops-
You need to contact Microsoft to obtain a valid key. The telephone number varies according to which country you're in. Google can find it for you.
jc619
Doesn't that cost $53.00 to contact them. Also I've been doing some searching and I think this error might be connected to the Service Pack 1 update I did. If I un-install it will it be able to accept my product key
-pops-
Regarding the cost of calling MS, in the UK for Windows activation there is no charge. The activation of Windows should be carried out on the system as installed from disk. I could, as you suggest, be failing because of SP1.
