Windows 2003 Standard Edition

Hi,

I have powervault that install with windows. The NAS configure using RAID5. Now i want to make user in my company can access this storage. They store anything in this storage. But other user cannot open the if not the owner of that user.

Is is possible? If yes, can anyone show how? Or can someone give some link that can help me solve my problem?

I'm new guy in this company. Just joined last month. Before me, the people that in-charge for this server not provide any documentation. So that why i asking here. If i have any documentation i wouldn't ask here.

This server install with Windows 2003 Appliance. Kind different for me. I'm familiar with windows 2000 server only. NAS Manager that manage the disk, i already set as share. Still user cannot access the disk. I come with other solution using AD but when i set password it said to match the password requirement. I don't know how to set it.

It sounds like you have a version of Widnows Server 2003 specifically designed for Network Storage. I believe it's called Windows Storage Server 2003. Here's a link to the main site for it:

I'm sorry I don't have any direct experience with it to share, but you should be able to find some How-to's on the Microsoft web site.

You might also check with the company that made the appliance to see if they have any technical documentation available on the web.
