froggystyle
Hello, I have a pc running windows 2000, on this pc is software used for weighing out materials, we log the batch number of materials with the use of a bar code reader. The bar code reader has stopped communicating with the software so i want to test the com port to see if the scanner is sending a signal through. I have been told that you can use hyperterminal to listen to the port whilst data shoudl be transmitted! And my question is does anyone know how to do this??? Any help would be great. Thanks
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I wouldn't know how to do such a thing with a hyperterminal??? How about asking the person who told you in the first place?See http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457166.aspx for basic hyperterminal usage.
