Windows become Inactive

Recommended Posts

I have been having this problem for a few weeks now. Every few minutes, the current window will become inactive. So i have to click on it and it will make the window active again. Normally it wouldn't be that big of a problem, but i cannot watch videos in full screen, I cannot play video games, and its just a plane bother. Please help.

Hello Moomaster666, & welcome to the forum. The current window becomes "inactive" - does that mean it freezes?

I take it you are using XP. Have you installed any new programs recently? Sometimes they conflict with Windows & make it behave strangely, so you could try uninstalling them to see if that makes a difference.

If you haven't installed anything new which might cause this problem you could try using System Restore to put your system back to the state it was in before the problem started. Open All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. Then pick a date before the problem started.
