I have been searching for a file on my network and fortunately or unforunately so many people have the same file and ALL of them are listed, which makes me read so many more titles before I can locate my file. Is there a way in the windows Search (F3), that I can include a NOT operator and the file name ?Like, Can I say, search for all .pdf (*.pdf) files but dont search for ABC.pdf ?thanks, HB Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For more advanced searching you should use a desktop search engine such as Windows Desktop Search, Google Desktop Search, or Copernic. These all require that the target search locations are indexed first, which - depending on the amount of data - may take several days.
