i bought a belkin (wireless G) router, hooked it up between the dsl modem and the PC (runs windows 2000 sp4) and ran the installation following the instruction on the CD. both the pc and my laptop (windows vista home edition) have internet access but file or printer sharing do not work. sometimes i see the other computer in the network environment but have no access to any folders, sometimes the other computer does not show. Whenever I try to print from the laptop i get a message "network problems". Is this an issue with windows 2000 and windows vista? I just cannot find anything on how to setup or troubleshoot WLAN. thanks for any advise.
