A couple of days ago the ethernet connection dissapeared

on my windows XP laptop, so I can not access the internet.

When I type:

>ipconfig /all

Windows IP Configuration

The system gives me just this single line

"Windows IP Configuration" and no any other information!

The wireless does not work either.

My other laptop XP works perfectly with the same ethernet connection

Thank you

It sounds like either the Operating System is messed up or the drivers for the Network Card(s) are. I lean toward a problem with the Operating System since all cards are affected.

Do you have system restore enabled? Can you roll back to a configuration when everything worked using system restore?
