I use a Philips Acoustic Edge soundcard.

I right click the speaker icon in the taskbar.

I choose "Adjust Audio Properties"

I go to "Speaker Settings" and click "Advanced"

I choose "5.1 Surround Sound Speakers" and click "Apply".

The next time I start Windows XP - it's reset to "Desktop Stereo Speakers"

I ask here for help......

Tried that - still the same

Says "Desktop stereo speakers" now, even though I changed it this morning...... not to worry.

Thanks anyway.
