tomfromwkup
Hi!I have a weird problem booting windows.Don't ask why but here's the truth:- I don't have any cd drive.- I can't reinstall nor format. The problem is: I moved my harddrive from my old laptop to my new one and since then I can't boot because of the video drivers. In the boot sequence, after the drivers loading, when the logon screen is TRYING to show up, the computer reboots...So I would like to know if it is possible to change video drivers from another computer. (I can connect that drive on another computer and modify its file). So what would I have to do?Thanks!
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum. What I would try is the following: try booting into Safe Mode, then update the video adapter driver from there (Device Manager, or Add Hardware). ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Can you move the HD back to your old laptop, then install the drivers for the video adapter in the new computer? Do you know the exact model?

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
If the downloaded driver is an executable, just run it. if not, what is it (.inf)?

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Hope it works out; use the .exe rather than the .inf file.
