sandeepprabhukumar
hi, everybody in windows forums. i have a scenario in my company where i have windows 2003 server sp2 as domain contoller and clients running 2000 pro,xp and vista OS. now, company issued laptops to some users for some special purpose. this users connect there laptops to the cable on there desk because we don't have wifi here and this users should not be in domain. But as admin i am faceing the problem here, The users of laptops with admin rights are able to change systems names, change ip address etc. becasue of this i am getting lot of conflits. Here, my question is the users should have all the rights as admin when they are unplugged from network but when they connect to network they should not have admin rights. is there any option like this
homecomputeraid
Hi Sandeep,I'm not aware of such an option. If the computers were able to log onto the domain, I believe you could use Active Directory to lock down their network settings.
