Strange booting problem

Recommended Posts

Greetings!

So. my problem is the next. When i turned on my it's crashed out at the "Vista loading bar" stage. Exactly when my copperhead is blinked out... This problem was with XP too. But after soft or hard reset, or waking up this problem is not there. Only when i switch off and after on. This is the problem in the 99% of the cases. I changed my HDD-s, RAM-s, new power supply on there. I know that is there too many possibilities but i hope this incident is familiar for somebody!

Thanks! Peace!

Welcome to the Windows Forum.

Sorry, your description is too vague to help you. What do you mean "crashed out" - BSOD ("blue screen of death")? If so, what was the error code? If you don't have an error code, can you check the Event Viewer for the time when it crashed?

It's just simply stop! When the usb devices blinked, all the system is stopped and nothing more. BTW thanks for helpfully attitude.

UPDATE: Yesterday i updated the bios and after for two restarting i didn't exoperienced the crashing so maybe i solved the problem. Tonight i'll test and if it's works i'll post this.

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago with a bad PATA cable which had a defective contact in one of the slots. You may wanna check that. Also I recommend pulling out and pushing back in any component that lives in socket/slot: memory modules, graphics card(s), various cables etc. That would refresh any possible defective contacts.

Let me know how it works. Cheers.
