I need to know how to determine which edition of Windows XP I have on my computer? This is in order to apply a patch, but I need to know if my Windows is 32-bit edition or 64-bit edition.

isn't the 64bit version of xp for the intel xeon processors or of that kind?

Yeah, XP 64-Bit is optimized for the Intel Itanium processors.

Only found on very high end technical workstations costing thousands and thousands of pounds.

If you had the 64bit XP Version you would know.. Click on Start My Computer right click C Drive then properties and In general it will tell you either Home Edition or Pro
