And perhaps one or two other variations of this message.

Approximately 3 weeks ago I updated the RAM on my pc – which appeared to be working fine, not sure if that could be related.

I first noticed this error while using Video editing software about a week ago…the error would occur after an action had been completed (for example, after ‘capturing’ video into a new project file in the program). However, the error message would simply need to be “ok’d” and the program would continue to run.

However I don’t think this is related to that software at all. Latest development is that I am unable to use a new printer/scanner. I was unable to load the driver from the CD – process kept failing with one of the error messages. But I then downloaded the driver from the mfg’s site…it appears to have installed, but when I attempt to use a function (i.e. – scan) it scans…then Ox5ff3b322 error message appears again.

Also, I tried to update Windows updates (after receiving this error messages) – several successfully installed. However, one failed to install – “Security Update for Microsoft.Net Framework, Version 1.1 SP 1 (KB928366). However, in looking at my Windows update history I also see that this update failed back in January of this year…so not sure that it’s related as the Ox5ff3b322 referenced memory error has only been very recently occurring.

4/23 – believe memory is correct. Corsair DDR1, 1 GB each, 400 MHZ, for PC-3200 & PC-2700. I tried reinstalling “Security Update for Microsoft.Net Framework, Version 1.1 SP 1, but the install failed with a similar error message today.

Have you tried your machine with the new memory removed?

That looks all awfully close to the same memory location, which suggests a memory defect. Can you try to run a memory diagnostic test; google for memtest.

Is the memory being referenced RAM - the memory that I newly added a month or so ago?

Memory = RAM (Random Access Memory).
