Scarthy © ® ™ Posted August 27, 2003 Report Share Posted August 27, 2003 Hi all ;),GAMESPOT TODAY is claiming that the collaboration between IBM, Sony and Toshiba could mean the Cell Playstation 3 might tip up as early as next year.See Playstation 3 architecture revealedAccording to the site, Cell chips are close to the tape out stage and the design will then be handed over to the fabs.It says progress is so fast that commercial production of Playstation 3s could arrive as early as the end of next year.If these reports are correct, that's a breakthrough for the trillion calculation Cell chips.
