yung Posted May 22, 2009 Report Share Posted May 22, 2009 Hello, I have a question on setting the windows (Windows XP Prof) taskbar "unlocked".Originally my taskbar is "locked".I set the registry value TaskbarSizeMove (in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/Advanced) to unlock the taskbar (by setting the value to 1). The taskbar can now be resized vertically, but the divider for resizing the quick launch toolbar does NOT appear! What can I do if I want my quick launch toolbar become sizable again?Thanks. Reverse the change you made in the registry, or use system restore to reset the system to a time before you made the change. After that whenever you want to lock or unlock the taskbar, just right click on it and tick or untick it as desired for locking or unlocking it whenever you want to. After that whenever you want to lock or unlock the taskbar, just right click on it and tick or untick it as desired for locking or unlocking it whenever you want to. Anyway I'm looking for possible solution on the issue without a need to modify any policy being applied already.If the computer is yours, remove the policy.If the computer is not yours, then whoever owns it maybe wants to prevent such tampering.
