Chris Young Posted June 1, 2009 Report Share Posted June 1, 2009 Hello! This is my first post so be nice! I will try to explain at my best ability. I do password changes for my companies PCs every three months, all of the PCs have Windows XP Pro and currently use Outlook 2007 for email. When these password changes occur, every outlook account forgets the password that has been saved for the particular account. This is the second time this has happened and i am at a lost to why. I am assuming is has to do something with XP and Outlook and the way they manage their passwords. Any help would be greatly appreciated! The password you mention, is it the domain network password.What are the Outlook accounts - Exchange Server? If so, is the password the same as the domain network password? Chris Young Posted June 2, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 2, 2009 Hi and thank you!No Domain, just have an administrator account for each PC along with a typical user account both with passwords. The user passwords get changed every three months, by a password chosen by me. I use the Start menu > Run > control userpasswords2 command and reset each password.The Outlook accounts are only typical POP3 Accounts with passwords, the feature in outlook to remember each password is enabled so the user doesn't have to type it in each day. This password never has issues, but as I stated above it's happened twice now.
