KillerVamp09 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Share Posted June 3, 2009 so i decided that i would try out ubuntu linux. well... that didn't go well. i had two xp installs on two seperate hard drives. one on a 35GB drive and one on a 10GB drive. i was in the livecd for ubuntu and i opened gparted which is the partition manager for ubuntu. i noticed my 35GB xp install did not have a boot flag next to it so i added one. now the 35GB xp won't work at all. i booted into the xp cd recovery console, logged into the 35GB install in the recovery console. then i did fixmbr, fixboot, the bootcfg /rebuild but it only comes up with one xp install and when i try to add it to the boot list it says error can't add it what do i do i had everything on that install and i really don't want to install xp again... it takes SOOOO long!
