libastral
High every buddy Due to a system partition's lack of free space, I had to add some more cutting it off an extended one. What I'm stuck with:system boots OK, checks partitions OK, starts graphics driver OK, then it shows Windows XP logo screen that precedes login welcome screen. But no login screen appear ever, it stops at this stage.Mouse works fine, I can move it, cool :D Alt-tab shows nothing. The same is actual for any boot option, whether it's Safe Mode or Last Good Configuration.I don't have setup CD here in the city where I'm on trip now, nor drivers or CDs for software currently installed... Some software very special and highly required these days. That's I just can't simply reinstall windoze What can I try to recover this system? Thanks in advance
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Can you activate the login panel with Ctrl+Alt+Del ?
libastral
Hi ɹəuəllıʍ, no I couldn't run Alt-Ctrl-Del-Del, nothing happened any way.But the problem is over now, there was a mount point to the old partition, what confused windows and it fall into the loop. I've downloaded Bart's Live Windows CD, removed the mount point, and everything's allright now. Thanks for taking part though :D
