bsm
Hi everyone,The title pretty much says it all....Is it possible to make a new shortcut for cut, copy and paste in windows? For example, for copying, I would like to replace Ctrl + C with a one button shortcut (one of the Fn keys)I work in a job that requires me to copy and paste a lot, so this minor adjustment (just pressing one button for copying and pasting) would actually be a big help.I have searched on the web but I only get pages explaining how to make shortcuts to windows programs, or pages explaining the basic Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V shortcuts. Thanks in advance for your help
Tufenuf
bsm, Have you thought of the idea of a Copy and a Paste Toolbar buttons? Just right click your Toolbar select Customize and move the Copy Toolbar button and the Paste Toolbar button from the left window to the right window.Tufenuf
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I use copy & paste a lot, but I would never think of replacing the very convenient Ctrl+C & Ctrl+V with something else. I could never get used to use something else but Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V.Either way, to make user shortcuts you will need at least three buttons: Ctrl+Alt+"your key". I don't know of any other way. -pops-
I also use Ctrl C and Ctrl V an awful lot and don't find it the least inconvenient. It's an almost automatic reaction to use these whenever I copy and paste.I don't think the saving of one key press in all of the gazillions of key presses made is much to get concerned about. But lately I have been doing a task that is essentially all copying and pasting. Trust me it would be a big timesaver to have one button copy/paste
