OldManRiver
All,I have a problem getting my WinXP SP3 box to configure correctly for internet access.I am on a community shared wireless connection. I have to use a high-gain antenna on my system to gain access.I configured the Wirelessfor internet, which went fine, and now I need my LAN NIC to either work in bridged mode or use ICS to allow my other 5 computers access through this machine.Every time I either try ICS or try bridging I always get errors and all the HOWTOs usually are using LAN as the Inet connect and then bridging to Wireless or some other combination, so I have not yet read, in the last 6 months of reading and trying any HOWTO that will help me fix my problem.I'm open to links, ideas and any input that will get me past this bottleneck.I really feel there is something set in my registry that is disabling this.I had it working when I was using the D-Link DWL-G650M, but my WinXP went south and I upgraded to WinXP SP3 from SP2 and the DWL-G650M would no longer work. The drivers that show on the internet for this card are totally incorrect, including the factory site and the CD got damaged so I was forced to purchase a WDA-1320G as replacement, but it has only half the power of the other (get max of 30% signal vs 80% on the old) and something in the change over locked out my ability to use the machine to share the wireless connect.Yes I've deleted all the connections and rebuilt everything every HOWTO I've read has suggested. Please help!!Thanks!OMR
