DNS Client (dnscache) on return from hibernation or startup

Hi all... My name is Patrick. I recently started having a weird thing happen. When I return from hibernation, a svchost.exe process (DNS Client (dnscache)) is using like 98% of the CPU for a minute then ceases. I usually had a few things like update and AVG use some processor power but this is new. I'm wondering if I caught some kind of virus (antivirus scan showed nothing) or if it is some sort of new startup process. Any help and/or advice is much appreciated.

I think it could be malware related. Use something like Malware Bytes and see if it finds anything. It could also be a problem with the hosts file being too large that it's giving your computer a hard time with DNS Lookups - but I don't know much about that stuff yet.

Is this problem occurring only when you're using the internet?

Ya know, I did just load in a large hosts file. Let me take it out and see...
