The whole point of 64bit addressing is to be able to have/use more RAM.There's much more than RAM usage with 64bit, just, most of them are Vista and after.Apparently, XP64 has a lot of compatibility problems, that could be the cause of it going slower. If I were you I'd get Windows Vista or Windows 7, much more reliable and performant than XP on a 4GB RAM system.Anyway, how do you know your motherboard is able to take 4GB of RAM?
