interdpth Posted October 12, 2009 Report Share Posted October 12, 2009 Hi, i was using Windows 7 RTM, and downgraded to XP64 for speed and stuff, i've tried to change all the permissions, nothing happened, so after a few years long story short, I'm the administrator on this computer, and I can't change folder permissions, I heard something about an Windows 7 having a different NTFS format or something and Microsoft released an XP patch but I can't find one, any help? Using tool: "Mini Window XP" in "hiren's boot 9.9". This is the mini window, when you logon, open explorer, right click on partition error, choose "reset NTFS...", waitting, and restart. D4\/!d Posted October 13, 2009 Report Share Posted October 13, 2009 interdpth, I am glad you asked this question.Soon I shall be deleting/removing Win 7 7600 and replacing it with a clean install of the final release of Win Seven (due 22/10).Like you I shall want to clear out - and perhaps reformat - the partition that contains W7.I dual boot XP Pro and W7, and XP will stay on first partition.kobk, so what are you saying we need to do.
