Using ReadProcessMemory for Oracle.exe

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I hope this is the right forum for these kind of programming questions.

I wanted to get the following information from the oracle database -

1. The sessions connected to the oracle database.

2. The SQL queries fired on each of the sessions.

While browsing the Windows system calls, I came across ReadProcessMemory system API.

So, is it a good idea or recommended way to use the ReadProcessMemory system API to read the contents of oracle.exe's memory? If yes, is there a way by which we can get to know the memory layout of Oracle.exe? If not, what is the purpose of exposing the ReadProcessMemory API?

Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,

// Rahul
