wolfeee
Active Directory running on a Windows Server 2003\Win XP Pro. I was testing some \\servername\netlogon .bat and also one that was calling a .vbs file. I now want to put it back to use the original .bat, have removed the test .bat files & changed it back on the user Profile tab in AD. However, no matter what machine I log in to or if I manually disconnect the drives, reboot, wait overnight...when I log in again it keeps mapping the test bat file. I have been trouble shooting this for a couple of weeks now. Also, when I remove any logon script from the profile, it does not map any drives. Thus, I know it is seeing the change on the Profile, yet when I ANY .bat back it maps the test batch file. Maybe I am overlooking something simple? Is there a local logon script cache that I can clear?
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum. That's a tricky thing, and I don't know the answer for you. It does indeed seem as if there is some kind of cache somewhere on the client side, but I never heard of such a thing. What I would try if I were in your situation: try to disconnect one of the client computers from the domain they are on, then reconnect. Shouldn't that reload all the information from the AD?I also think that this topic would be better handled in the networking board, so I will move it over there after this post.
