Jaybo
I'm using my old workhorse Win XP machine, on which I have just replaced IE7 with IE8. It seemed OK at first, but I now get a message saying that IE8 has all add-ons turned off and implying this is something to get fixed, which I haven't managed to do yet. Anyway, for now I am using Foxfire, which I may or may not use as my permanent browser. So far, I have found that my IE shortcut icon does indeed show that its target is IE-noext rather that just IE. I'm paraphrasing a little there to save space and also because I didn't write down exactly what the message was. Also, I don't know whether or that has been the case since I installed IE8 or whether I picked it up while browsing. I know this isn't much to go on but thought someone else might have had the same experience.Jaybo, who is brand new here
