kaishuoy Posted January 10, 2010 Report Share Posted January 10, 2010 i have a verbatim 1TB external hard disk. while i was writing to the disk, someone pulled out the power cord. now, when i plug it in, vista recognises it as a local disk and says i have to format it before using. i have tried to format it but whatever program i use, the computer always gives an error, saying it cant access the drive or something. does anyone know if i can format the drive, or better, save the data on it?
