.net 3.5.1. 32 to 64 bit switch?

I am not looking for pity, just understanding and why I made this error in the first place. BEcause of a kidney transplant I have had for going on 4 years and one side effects of my imune supresants being short term memory loss at times, I had a senior moment.

I need to find out whre I was. I have a freash install of windows 7, 64 bit install, with 8 gig of ram and about 1720 gig of drive space. I finally got my Apache loaded and running to server my web page at home and found a set of check boxes along the way. They refered to which .net 3.5.1 I wanted to be running. Because Windows 7 comes with both 32 and 64 bit versions install.

MY first thought was I run a 64 bit OS why not go 64 bit, but when I selected 64 the 32 box emptied and I got a mesage telling me that if I do this IIS is not compatible with .net 3.5.1 64bit. Not knowing at the time what that was and fearing the change might hurt something I was using I declined and went to the 32 bit version.

Now that I know what IIS is, and decided I don't need it for what I am using, I would like to return to the 64 bit version of .net 3.5.1 but can't locate the switch to get back to it.

I just can't remeber how to get back to those optional check boxes. Could someone help me get back to running .bet framework 3.5.1 x64 please?

I dont think you will be able to get back to any check boxes.

As far as I can remember 3.5 Dot.Net comes with a 32 & 64-bit installer. You just choose which you want.

You could uninstall completely (Including Microsoft Updates) and then re-install Dot.Net 3.5

If it is not causing you too many problems, and the apps that rely on Dot.Net 3.5 appear to be working ok, I would leave well alone.

If it aint bust, - dont fix it. :)
