gordythegouge Posted January 28, 2010 Report Share Posted January 28, 2010 Hi,I wonder if anyone has come across this problem before? I've recently installed Outlook 2003 on my new Windows 7 Laptop. The problem is...I have to enter the password everytime I want to send/receive, despite ticking the box to save password. I also cannot get Outlook to download my old yahoo mail address.I 've done everthing right, I think, and the same settings work on my old XP desktop but to no avail on this one! ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted January 29, 2010 Report Share Posted January 29, 2010 If you can't get an answer here for your Outlook questions, I suggest that you post your question in this forum/newsgroup microsoft.public.outlook.general.I don't understand the 2nd part of your question "cannot get Outlook to download my old yahoo mail address"; do you mean to download your old messages from a Yahoo account? If so, if it was a POP3 account, and you didn't specify "keep a copy of the messages on the server", then the messages are gone.However, if you kept the PST file of Outlook from XP, then all you old messages are still in there. Just reconnect Outlook to that PST file.No, what I meant was that previously I've been able to download my messages from my old yahoo account to my PC, regardless of what E-mail client I was using, now however, it won't let do that. Although, with the samee-mail settings on old PC, I can still download them! I actually clear everything from the server anyway so that there's nothing left on-line.
