CyberSmurf
Ok, I have 2x 500gb HD on my raid, formatted for Raid 1 (Mirror I believe) and had 1 160GB HD setup for no raid, just raid ready. Tried to install my 160GB drive for my main OS drive, had to slipstream my drivers for it to see it (no floppy). Loaded fine, saw the disks, went to format my 160GB drive, and the install would not proceed after format. format bar reached 100% and then Windows would say it was a corrupt drive and would not install? Would install to my IDE drive just fine, but not to my 160GB. Now if I took my 160 GB drive out of the raid setup, it was not even seen by the BIOS or Windows Setup, it just didn't exist unless marked in the raid setup as Raid Ready.Any Clues as to what is failing?Running XP Pro 64bit, getting a copy of Windows 7 this weekend and wondering if that would fix this little bug? Either way upgrading OS, just would like to be able to use my Raid.CyberSmurf
Gerard Dagnall
Format each drive then recreate the mirror. Or try changing RAM (sounds crazy I know but you should)
