MANEMAN
Hi again.Double check the boot sequence in bios.Make sure the CD is unscratched and without fingerprints or mess on it.Copy the data off of present XP CD with something like *** Unstoppable Copier *** and re-write /re-burn yourself a new CD to either "+" or "-" format Disks (Or both just in case their is a read problem with the drives)I've found Unstoppable Copier very useful for similar situations.Make sure both of your drives are reading o.k.If you have a floppy drive, load XP by means of floppy disks. ( http://freepctech.com/pc/002/files010.shtml )Make sure that your RAM is good in this old machine and able to retain info from installation disk.Make sure that the HDD you are trying to load XP onto has been partitioned, formatted, and set active.John. 7OpenWindows
Does your BIOS have a certain key to press to boot into removable storage. This key is usually F10 or F12, but it may vary depending on your system. When the computer boots up, try that and boot into the CD/DVD.Also, make sure the disc is bootable.
