Bcurry016 Posted March 1, 2010 Report Share Posted March 1, 2010 I recently upgraded to windows 7 from windows vista because vista crashed due to the bootmgr missing.I thought installing windows 7 would fix the problem but i am still having issues, these include:1. Each time i start my computer the black screen comes up and i have to manually choose to boot with windows 72. My internet and overall computer will randomly freeze and then resume3. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted March 5, 2010 Report Share Posted March 5, 2010 According to many post all over the Internet, this is how to remove the Vista / Windows 7 boot managerTo remove Vista Boot menu do thisEnable hidden files and folder in the folder optionsGo to C:\ after this is enabledDelete this file C:\bootmgrDelete this folder C:\Bootthis should remove Vista boot menuMake sure that you have at least a system restore point before proceeding.
