Chickencowman
Hello, I have recently installed Windows 7, and due to my having Vista Business, and buying Windows 7 Home Premium, I could not just upgrade, I had to create a separate OS. Anyways, I installed it into my (D:) drive, not sure if I could put it in (C:). Turns out, it only has 9.99 GBs, and Windows 7 takes up almost all of that, leaving me with about 300 MBs free. Well, obviously that is a bit of a problem. So my question is: can I transfer my Windows 7 to (C:), with or without re-installing it? Thank you! AlanHo
Why not do a clean install of Windows 7 and format your drive. You will of course first need to back up your data to a separate drive if you need to keep it.If your copy of Windows 7 is an upgrade disc - rather than full retail - you can still use it to do a clean instal. This is because - unlike previous versions - windows checks that you have a valid and activated version of windows installed before proceeding to format the drive and instal Windows 7.If your shiny new Windows 7 upgrade disc does not recognise your existing OS as valid - you can still do a clean install by a double install....Click Here for Details

Also, so it is possible for me to install Windows 7 into (C:)? Because that would be a lot easier, or would that mix the two OS? Sorry for being a newb! AlanHo
You cannot just "move" an operating system from one drive to another. It must be installed from the source media.I assumed that your objective was to finish up with just Windows 7 as your only operating system. I see no point in keeping Vista as well. In which case you will install Windows 7 in the partition currently occupied by Vista - which will delete Vista and all other existing files in that partition.
