snacht
I'm on windows 7 Ultimate fully updated and MS office 2003 pro SP3.Since I installed office 2003 I get the following behavior:When I type the quote key on the keyboard, it does not appear on the screen. When I then press for example, the 'o' key it will display the ó character on the screen. To get the " I wanted I need to press the quote key twice. successively. This is the behavior in all applications, not only Ms Office.Microsoft calls this the "sticky key" feature which is understandably a useful feature for many people. I'm trying to disable it.My findings thus far:- Disabling sticky keys in "Control Panel\Ease of Access\Ease of Access Center\Set up Sticky Keys" does not work.- Turning off all auto text/auto correct options in office does not work.- Even though it affects all applications, I conclude it must be MS office related because it started only when I installed office.Anyone know the answer? Thanks.Stefaan
-pops-
It seems you are not the only one to experience compatibility problems with Office 2003 and W7 - see http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itproappcompat/thread/0e3cab06-4813-4530-86ff-b2256dd5601cHaving said that, I installed that version of Office on a W7 Home Premium with no obvious problems a few weeks ago.As a long shot, is your W7 32 bit or 64 bit? jmaster18
I am not sure if this is right but I have heard that a keylogger virus can cause this kind of problems especially on MS office 2003.If it is not a virus it might be a compability problem
