I just got a old Dell Dimension 9100 pc, and i need to set it up but the HDD drive is gone. There is a WIN XP HOME OEM licence on it. But all data is on the hdd that is now missing. The XP disc did not follow the pc. Is there a easy way to install XP without a Disk? can i download it from the web and where? then burn over to a cd and use it along with my oem key to install it.

Regards Z

You should be able to do a re-installation of XP Home on it using an XP Home CD (OEM) (if you can borrow one) and the original license key.

You will however need to get all the appropriate Dell drivers for it from the Dell support website.

I advise you not to try to download a version of XP Home from the internet as there is a good possibility that such a version may contain malware.
