I have my own DNS

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I have Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows VISTA.

I have created a DNS on a Linux system.

As of now, all of the Windows boxes seem to use the DNS that is assigned by the internet provider (AT&T)

How can I change it so that it refers to the DNS server of the internet provider AND my own DNS server?

Any help, hints or advice is most *graciously* appreciated :)

TIA

On your Network Adapter you choose properties and put manually the DNS ip of your Linux box.

If you get the DNS by DHCP then you have to add the Linux box DNS to your DHCP server.
