Daniel Fagnan
I have a computer that was rebuilt a couple years ago, and for some reason the computer doesn't start at all.A couple weeks ago, there was just no video that was displayed, so we left it for a couple of hours and then it worked. Then it did the same thing but then when I restarted it, well it wouldn't start. it's like the button doesn't work.I already tried to see if it was the power supply, but no. I removed that one and put in another one, but still nothing.I checked the ram, to see if it's correctly put in, but no.And I'm out of Ideas. Thats the second computer in the house that breaks down. The one I use broke, and we had to replace it, sucks but what can you do.Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks!
-pops-
I feel that a problem like this is too big to be answered in a forum - it really does need someone to physically examine the machine. Some ideas of what the problem may be (if you're certain the power supply is OK): faulty connection between power supply and motherboard; problems with the on/off switching on the motherboard; the computer/internet connection has been subject to a lightning hit or a mains power surge; components of the motherboard have failed (this is fairly common with capacitors - the effects on the machine vary enormously). -pops-
RAM problems do not normally manifest themselves in this way.
