I need help in accessing a pasword protected folder which became in accesible after I reverted to windows Xp after the trial period of windows 7 ran out.

My hard drive is partitioned into two parts namely C and D drives. While I loaded my operating system on C drive, drive D contains most of my personal folders which are password protected. After the downgrading to XP, the folder became inaccessible. I get the error message: folder not accessible. Access denied. Meanwhile, the unprotected folders are intact.

The folder properties reads zero size on disk while the Dick properties still reflects the size of the folder.

I'll appreciate any help towards recovering this folder.

Thanks but please keep the advice plain and simple

Ciao.
