I feel that I and numerous other IT Professionals have tried and are overlooking something (probably something small that will irk me later for not thinking of it.) I really appreciate any sort of insight!---------------------------------------------Configuration: 3 Servers and 2 workstationsOS: Windows Server 2008 SP2 x32 (Servers) / Windows XP SP3 (Workstations)Other Info: Fiber backbone running through a switch for an internal, closed network.----------------------------------------------Issue:We are connected using one server as the domain/AD/ISS and the other two servers and two workstations networked through a fiber backbone. We are experiencing EXTREMELY heavy latency from the moment we set up the network. To give you an idea:-It took two days to partition the drive-It takes ten or more minutes to transfer an approx. 10 MB file.-Connecting remotely to the servers/workstation takes minutes.Needless to say we are running good machines and a fiber backbone and we can't work out the latency issues. I feel like there is a configuration issue that is tying up our resources, but I can't locate any setting/properties that may be the cause of the latency.Thank you for any suggestions!!!!
