Internet Explorer not opening

Recommended Posts

Got a bit of a problem. I'm trying to open up IE8, but for some reason it won't open. Every now and then I get these ads pop up too, like completely at random. I'm having to use Firefox at the moment, which seems to be unaffected. Is this a virus or something? Sorry my knowledge of computers is pretty limited.

Should add the computer is a laptop and it's connected wireless to the router I got from Virgin, if that helps.

It sounds like you have been hijacked ?

Download MalwareBytes Anti-Malware from :-
/>http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php

Double click the downloaded file to install the application on your computer.

Once the application is installed, double click on the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware icon to start the program.

When the application is open, select Update to get the latest version of its malware definitions.

Once updated, do a Full Scan and the application will guide you through the remaining steps.

Let it kill whatever it finds :)

MalwareBytes is free to use provided you do not want its resident protection (for which you have to pay).

Hopefully it will solve your problem.
