Internet issues

I asked this question on Yahoo answers and someone told me to post it here. So her it is,

"Okay I'm having issues with my internet. I can access it but my windows keep freezing and saying that this unknown plug in is unresponsive. I'm running AVG and Super Anti Spyware now to try and see if thats the issue but so far AVG has found nothing and SAS only has found tracking cookies which is normal. I have been using Firefox and just now downloaded google chrome but it doesn't matter which one I use they both do the same thing. At first I thought it was just firefox was being stupid but it's not. My provider is Newnan Utilities, which is a small local provider, and I use a Belken wireless router. I recently downloaded windows 7 onto my computer but everything had been running fine after the download. This is my laptop that I use.

Lets see I can't think of any other details that would help. Well when the window freezes I can see the web page but that is like this whiteish cloud over it then I have to x out and restart it. I'm thinking it's my wireless but I don't have the receipt anymore so I can't take the router back. I don't know. I'm hoping it's something else. What do you guys think?"

Also I'm going to paste another persons response to my question. I was wondering if this would work at all?

"Have you went to your add/remove programs and uninstalled chrome and firefox then reinstalled them? This would remove any add ons and plug ins. When you reinstall them don't import anything and see if that doesn't help.Course you will need to reinstall your flashplayer for each browser."
