linxt44 Posted May 4, 2010 Report Share Posted May 4, 2010 Hi everyone; First post to this list.I'm having a problem deleting duplicate entries for my Brother HL-1440 laser printer. When I go into Control Panel > Devices & Printers as administrator and select one of the icons for the printer (either copy1 or copy2) and click on delete device, it disappears from the list. However, after a reboot, it shows up again. I've tried this several times with the same results.Another problem that MAY be associated is the inability to cancel jobs in the print queue. For some reason the printer doesn't print and with several jobs in the queue, I try to cancel them but they remain.I'm fairly new to windows, having been a unix admin previously and am having trouble figuring out how to do things in this environment.
