jmaster18 Posted May 5, 2010 Report Share Posted May 5, 2010 I have a pc with the following specs:intel core2 duo 3 ghz 4 gb ram nvidia 9600gt.I have win vista home premium 32-bit installed in a 320 gb hdd.I recently bpught a 1TB HDD but i havent installed it yet.I want ,if it is possible, to move all my files from the 320 gb hdd to the other one and then to create in the 320 gb hdd 2 partitions where i can install both vista and 7.Something that i want but i am not sure if it can be done is if i can run programs and open files from the 1TB HDD with both 7 and vista.What can i do? -pops- Posted May 5, 2010 Report Share Posted May 5, 2010 I don't think there is anything that can be run on W7 that won't run on Vista - thus you don't need both operating systems.Why do you want to have Vista and W7 on the same machine? -pops- Posted May 8, 2010 Report Share Posted May 8, 2010 You ought always to have a full system backup to ensure against data loss.By doing this, you can install an upgrade version of W7 whilst retaining your Vista data and settings. If you prefer to revert to Vista, you have the opportunity to do this from W7 or from your backup.From my own point of view, W7 is a vast improvement over and above Vista.
